{ chevrons for cheap! }

I heart the thrift store!  I especially heart it on 50% off day!  I picked up this bright, HUGE chevron throw for 99 cents this week. 

99 pennies for this!  Whenever I see these crocheted lovelies in thrift shops, I can't help but think about how many hours went into creating them.  I was happy to be the one to give this beauty a good home.  It's going to look absolutely perfect in Happy Jack's room.

It's like it was made to live here! :)

Emerson Made's (now Emerson Fry) gorgeously-crafted, handmade fabric flowers. I can think of about a gazillion ways to use these little pretties. 

These beauties were all over the blogosphere last year, but now they seem to be unavailable. :( 

I'm itchin' to try this tutorial to get my fix.

{ grant's dino-mite 2nd birthday! }

We celebrated Grant turning two with a dinosaur themed party recently.

This giggly guy does the cutest "ROAR!"

I picked up this fabric on sale at Joann and these playful dinos were the inspiration for the party.

I designed this invite compliment the fabric. 

Then we partied!!!

Happy birthday, sweet boy!  We love you!

{ friday fabric frenzy }

Not many things make me happier than a yummy assortment of coordinating fabrics.

And a grouping like this can only mean one thing if you're talking about me - new pillows!!! 

I'm particularly excited about that coral ikat in the upper right.  Those are 20" napkins from World Market. I am in LOVE with that one.  Are you changing things up with new pillows for Spring too?

{ bonkers for blabla }

 Grant received Pierre the Bunny as a birthday gift from his auntie this weekend. Boy, do my boys love their Blabla buddies!  They actually insisted on lining them up and taking a photo with their newest pal.  I thought that was hilarious.

I adore these little cuties as much as the boys do.  Bamboo, the Bear, was given to me by a sweet librarian friend of mine when I was pregnant with Jack, and I've loved all things Blabla ever since.  I think it's funny how much longer the well-loved dolls (the bear and the lion) are than the newer ones. Jack tells me "the more you love them, the more they grow!" ;)

the newest print from the insanely talented artist and illustrator, Katie Daisy.  Her work is always so cheerful, whimsical and bright, and this one is no exception.  It's like Spring on a canvas!   It just gives me a jolt of instant happiness.
