I am such a fan of IKEA Billy Bookcase hacks. 

 This one from blog, Life as Grace, looks pretty fantastic.

The black is such a dramatic backdrop for her bookcase styling.

And all the pops of color, especially the yellow chandy are fun, yet sophisticated.
